You are in a temporary shelter situation. Your quickest and best solution is to move up out of the shelter by making the best use of all resources available to you, rather than sitting complacently on your hindquarters and soaking up the benefits (not saying you do, but I get a real feeling of entitlement when I read your post).

Considering that 8/10 of this post consisted of questions that she wished to get advice on, what is making you think that this person has a sense of entitlement, because I don't see that AT ALL. The post was well written in a good professional tone.
