No repairman avail. until Monday. Tenant grumbling. Do I have any other responsibilities? What would you do?

Tell them if they feel it's an emergency, they can call 9-1-1. If it's not, then they will have to wait til Monday. If they keep grumbling, tell them you will reduce their rent by $30 and take out both the washer and dryer, and they can go to a laundromat from now on, or buy their own w/d. Things break, and only the very rich can expect to get things repaired in a very short time. Everyone else has to wait.

Let the tenants grumble. What else can you do? It would not be a good idea to give a rent credit. Doing so would only be training them to put their hand out every time they complain about something.

Based on the info provided, I'm with Gary. It is not an emergencyl rather it is an inconvenience. Depending on the tenant relationship, you may want to work a compensation deal, which is not to say you bend over for the tenants. Do what is possible in the most timely & cost efficient means.
Build/maintain a secure relationship of trust that things will be addressed in a timely manner but also manage expectations of what is an emergency.

You would grumble also if this happened to you, just human nature to do so.
Inform the tenant that you have contacted a service repair company and they will be out on Monday. Then provide the locations of nearby Laundromats that they can use until the repairs are made.
Did anyone check the basic's, breaker switch has not tripped, unit plugged in.

No, I don't believe you have additional responsibilities. Had a washer break once because tenant overloaded it. I happened to have an extra washer (had just bought a house that came with a washer and dryer). The extra washer was working, but cosmetically ugly. I took out the broken washer and gave her the ugly (but working) one to use until we got the good washer fixed.
Ended up having to replace the motor and transmission from her overloading the washer--and it was a heavy duty rated washer!

As long as you are working to resolve the issue, you are fine. If you ignored it for weeks and weeks, I can see the tenant taking more action. I had an issue with a dryer that was not venting properly. I had to wait for a handyman for couple days, but tenant didn't complain. They knew I was working and waiting on the issue actively.
If your tenants are not happy with your reaction time, then they should pay out of their pocket but don't get a reimbursement from you. Does your contract have minimum they have to pay on a repair?

I use the LPA Lease.
Under the lease I am not responsible to repair appliances. They are there for the tenant's convenience only.
They understand that when they sign the lease.
Between you and me, I sometimes do pay for repairs, but am not obligated to. I also tell them the Washer & Dryer is NOT included in the rental and is working now but is AS IS.

The problem with the original response is that you can't unilaterally make such an adjustment in a set lease period unless it's agreed-to. As the landlord responsible for an appliance that is stated in a lease and still within the lease period, you would be required to fix. In this case, I might offer a roll of quarters ($10) for the inconvenience just to keep the tenant happier.
