Check police logs. Not for her but for the area of town she is moving from. I had a run of applicants all from some area of town. Low and behold, there was a rash of auto and home B&Es in that neighborhood.

Also, sometimes women move quickly because a relationship has gone bad or a roommate situation isn't working. Moving seems to be safest and wisest decision.

Back in college, I jumped a lease and didn't care. The duplex behind us (girls), my roommate and I had all had three separate episodes of peeping Toms. Then I come home and my stereo and TV had walked out the front door. I moved mid month away from campus. Two weeks later, Ted Bundy struck. We lived one street behind Chi Omega House and we all cut through their parking lot to get to campus. Dunwoody Street was a block and half to the west and one of my cut over streets when I biked to class.
