Well, I appreciate your honest response.
We ( as you may have guessed) have two APBTs. They are really loving dogs, although we did our due diligence. They are well-socialized, obedient, and very friendly low key dogs.
However, I do understand your position. Especially, when not everyone is a responsible owner.
In case it mattered to anyone, State Farm insures APBTs, as that is who we have.
Thank you for your input!

I have a pretty pitty too -- an 70 lb. American Staffordshire Terrier. Very sweet dog who loves people -- and can catch a kill a varmint in seconds flat (an especially good mouser)! Loves my cats, too! And in my state, State Farm does not have a so-called dangerous dog list nor do they bar insurance based on any breed; they base insurance on the status of the dog -- if it has a bite history or has been tagged as aggressive by the city/county (meaning it has acted in a manner that required city/county involvement, such as biting), it will affect insurance coverage.
