A potential tenant question - Landlord Forum thread 362412

A potential tenant question by Bette on July 4, 2023 @15:23

My rental is available in Aug. Been advertising softly (no sign in the yard (currently rented). Anyway, a relative of the potential tenant said the person plans to move back to the area. Owns a house where he's at. I did finally get more info from the relative. I impressed upon the relative no matter what I needed a signed and completed application from the potential tenant. He's in his 80's. I will meet him at the end of the month when he gets to town. I don't want to go through this again when he decides to buy house. Do I bide my time or "a bird in the hand".

Put up your yard sign asap and a listing on apartments.com.

Why limit your possibilities for what may be a dud?
