NOTICE PERIOD TO TERMINATE TENANCY: 1 rent period (LPA Lease Clause # 28)
NOTICE PERIOD TO CURE DEFAULT ON LEASE: -
3 days (LPA Lease Clause # 25)
LATE CHARGES: As of 2021: As agreed in Lease Rental Agreement, but not more than 12% of the rent for properties with four or fewer units
not more than 10% of the rent for properties with more than four units, or
it can be more than 10 or 12% of the rent if it’s related to the landlord’s damages from the late payment, such as the expenses, costs, or overhead associated with the collection of the payment.
The landlord may charge an initial fee and a daily fee for each day the rent is late. (Tex. Prop. Code Ann. § 92.019.) - (LPA Lease Clause # 3)
SECURITY DEPOSIT:. As of 2021: Must refund and notify tenants of damages and charges within 30 days (Security Settlement Statement) - (LPA Lease Clause # 21)
