Need some help here fellow landlords. Area is North Bergen, I have been renting to sec. 8 and getting market rent. North Bergen is rent controled but when it comes to section 8 I was told we could get market rent. I have been doing this for over six years. Now I get a discruntal tenant which now brings me to court costing $$$$$$$
Section 8 say they paid too much, now the rent leveling is not say anything but the aposing attorney got an affidavit from the woman who is head of rent leveling saying she know nothing about me receiving more that what rent leveling requires. She absolutly LIED!!!!!!!!! to save her job. I would like to know other landlords in north bergen who receive high than rent control rent for their section 8 tenants. Also, section 8 is suppose to pa FMR! Can anyone help me here. Thank you

go to the hud site there is a chart on that site somewhere you will have to look. it states the avg rent for x number of bedrooms that hud will pay for. this is what the local sec 8 offices are supposed to go by as far as Iknow. If sec 8 approved a certain amount and paid it are they now going back on it.? for me sec 8is not an option any more , I am tired of the BS. and the fact that this group of people are uncollectable
