I'd like to see all of you people live in an apartment that is infested with ants and see how "easy" it is to get rid of them. It is also a major pain in the ass! You should be able to leave food in your pantry and around the kitchen, NO???? I realize that you are all trying to cover your own asses but for some people, this ant thing is a HUGE problem!!! Here's an idea...try CARING for your tenants and FIX the damn problem!!!

That is all.

I agree with above statement. I have kept my apartment very clean since I first noticed our ant problem. I have only been in this apartment for about five months and I have seen thousands of ants in the past few months, this kind of infestation is not a tentants fault unles they are filthy people in which case they probably would'nt complain about ants.I on the other hand have a toddler in my house and my infestation is so bad they come out of my jacket when I get to work and take it off in the morning. They are everywhere right now EXCEPT the kitchen right now so I don't want to hear this crap about it being the tentants fault. We pay rent to live (BY LAW) in a pest free sanitary environment and you as landlords have the responsibility to provide that. So quit bitching and do you job!

Scott, I am there with you. The same exterminator has been coming here for the past five months and the ants keep coming back. I am extremely clean (vacuum 2-3 times a day, mop twice daily, bleach counters, fridge, appliances daily, etc). I have had the apartment staff and exterminators pop up and they compliment on cleanliness. Ants were here when I got here. I have puchased canS of Raid, bottleS of Windex AND Home Defense - no remedies except ant bites on myself and my children, ants in our food, AND everywhere else around here but outside! I am writing the complex now and requesting pest control services from another vendor. Unlike the mentioned tenants I do not care to break my lease or move out - too much work! I don't even want the money back for the foods and goods I've had to purchase as a result of this. I just want this remedied because no one should have to snatch food from their babies hand because there are ants on it. For the person who said that they are just ants just try to imagine coming home from a long day of work and going to take a shower and getting greeted by clusters of ants on the floor, in the shower, and on the tile. Or laying in bed with your children and seeing ants crawling on them - if not because that's unsanitary, respect that situation as a complete nuisance.

I've been living in my apartment for 3 months now and I cant get rid of the ants. I've washed everything. They got into my cabinets and ate away at my cereal. They crawled into every spot that I left my cat food and infested it. I've used 2 cans of spray and numerous traps. How is this my fault? Ive rad compalints online about other units and buildings in my complex that have the same problems. This cannot be the tennants fault that the buildings are infested. Its not good living conditions when you cant have any open food at all anywhere in your apartment such as cereal, bisquick, crackers! I even find them on my bed on occasion or crawling across my bathroom floor. Its disgusting and I want out!

No kidding.I live in a place with multple units and Im not the only one with ants. And yes their a pain in my butt. Im not going to use chemicals with a dog. My place is very clean so those of you think otherwise I hope you get ants and see how much fun it is. This place doesnt do anything about any issues here. I dont want to break the lease just want the ants to go away. Ive never had ants in my life until I moved here.
