Here's my experience...

I have actually rented to 3 separate escorts, exotic dancers, prostitutes, whatever you want to call them. All three ended up breaking the lease for various reasons and prior to that they were a rent collection nightmare. One got pregnant and therefore couldn't continue her profession, so no income to pay the rent. The second had frequent break-ins by johns who apparently liked what she had in the rental and it turned out she didn't make nearly the income she claimed at her "job". None of them did, in fact. Women who work in this field frequently claim a high income, but my experience has been that it isn't true. The third ended up sitting on her bed in a stupor and had to be removed by her family, who didn't know she was in the adult entertainment field. She was young and was having difficulty dealing with the reality of dancing nude and turning tricks. Personally, when someone is willing to engage in a morally tenuous activity, I think it is indicative of general instability in their lives, including their financial life. I wouldn't ever rent to someone in any of these "jobs" again. I learned my lesson after the 2nd one, but the 3rd faked her employment references and I didn't catch it. And don't forget, strippers are "independent contractors" so you can't garnish wages, etc. I say, RUN! from that type of prospective tenant.
