I really appreiciate this ! I am at the same point you were ~ I have never done this before. Where do I go to at the court house, what dept and is it civil court or superior court? (I am in Tacoma) I will have a process server serve. Did you get an actual judgement against them once this process was done so you could garnish the wages or bank account or do you have to go through another process to get a judgemment ? Thank you so much for your time !

I am in King county so I went to the Kent courthouse. If you post your email address I can send you some links that I have. It is in superior court. I did get a judgement but I have not proceeded to try to garnish their wages. I have additional costs since the judgement so my understanding is I will have to go to small claims court to get the total amount due and then I can file to have their wages garnished. The fun just never ends!
