Yes you did advise me on this one. I just wasn't sure if I could bill them for a totally new door, or if I had to take it out of the security deposit at the end.

Bill them for intentional damages immediately.

If you have to replace the door to ensure it's integrity, then you charge for the whole pre-hung door, or whatever you actually do to repair it. But don't replace things that can be repaired, as long as the repair leaves the door looking like it did at move-in.
