I agree, it is the owner. I have a boxer/lab/smooth terrier mix and she gets mistaken for a pit bull ALL THE TIME. It makes me angry when people just assume she's aggressive before they even meet her. She loves to play and she loves people. She's super curious and super sweet. Just because she has boxer in her doesn't mean she's aggressive. Likewise, just because you think she might have bull terrier in her, which she doesn't, doesn't mean she's aggressive, either. I'd say get to know the dog before you discriminate. Ask what the parents of the dog were. Meiling's parents were boxer/lab and boxer/smooth terrier, which comes out looking like what people would call a "pit bull."
