Some tenants are like children; they want to run to "mom and dad" (the landlord) to handle complaints that they don't have the guts to handle themselves.

How easy it would have been to walk over next door, knock and tell the other tenant their TV is too loud in the afternoon and they're smoking too close to the building.

Why would anyone have to tell someone that they are smoking too close to the building and their TV is too loud! Shouldn,t they know this without having to be told?

Here is a funny story about someone I knew. She lived in a fourplex upper floor. Everyday she came home from work she would play with her dog by bouncing this ball. A game of catch. Well when she moved out the lady down stairs came out and said I am so glad you, your dog and ball are moving! LOL Point is it did not enter her brain what she was doing. So, maybe people should know but often times people are self absorbed and a kind remark may very well solve a problem that otherwise would not of been known to be.
