Hi, No, I am NOT the landlord. In a previous post on this thread, I said that IF I was the landlord, I would not grant the rent reduction.

You said yourself (twice) that this was an "act of God." Why should the landlord compensate the tenant for an act of God? I don't think that's the landlord's responsibility. That's what tenants' insurance is for.

And if the T's insurance doesn't cover that, then they're out of pocket some, just as the landlord is. It was a weather-related, act of God occurrence, and landlord and T both need to step up and deal with it.
