Re: Adding a tenant - Landlord Forum thread 317981

Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear. Re-reading I see that I didn't quite explain it how I meant.

The tenants since 2007 are actually a father and son and they want to add someone else, a friend that will be moving here from out of state. So, will be a total of 3 tenants in that unit once she gets here.

The tenant from Feb. is a single girl with a couple kids and she would like to have her brother move in, he recently moved back to this state and has a job but not a home yet. So this rental will go from one adult to two.

Please let me know if this changes any answers.

After reading your unclear posts, you should say no to both renters. I think you are looking at a bunch of trouble if you say yes to either crew: lots more people in your building, more wear and tear, who pays the check to you, who doesn't get along. Say no and make your life simple. These people can figure out their lives without you.
