Yes, we have been putting the money into savings bc I thought it sounded "fishy" to not be collecting. I was under the impression that the "trustee" would get in touch with a new address to send the rent but he never did. The house across from me was owned by the same person and it's being foreclosed on as well. I've been in touch with the tenant there to see if we were receiving the same information (a different bank holds the mortgage on that house) and she said that yes, they have been telling her to not pay the rent. (That was straight from the the mouth of someone she spoke to that was on the paperwork she received.) I should have mentioned that the new owner is actually "Freddie Mac" and not an actual person. Thanks for your quick response.

I'll bet on two things, neither will be particularly helpful.

1) That form goes to every new Tenant.
2) Freddy has no idea if you paid or not.

Do you have any phone or e-mail contact for Freddie? If you do, explain it all (include the text) and ask what to do.

My bet would be that they will say keep your money.
