order for possession via judicial sale

What happens if I am unsure if the property is occupied at all ? Neighbors are telling me that the property (condo) is empty, but they do see sometimes someone going in and out If I have the judicial sale approved by the judge and the same date I get order for possession from the judge can I enter the property or I still need to give the public 24hrs notice that I intend to enter ? do I need to go thru the sheriffs process (full eviction) or just go ahead replace the locks and be done with it ?
I think normally that’s what needs to happen: I get the order for possession I go to 8th floor in Daily center to the sheriffs office and request that they start the eviction. Wait 2 months until they post the note on the door Wait another 6 months until they come back and do the eviction ...all assuming the case is not contested
