the law requires you to hand deliver the notice first and only when you cannot give it to the tenant can you then use the mail. failure to follow the law makes your notice void!

    hand deliver, post it & mail it, have a process server serve it for you-they can serve the person or a legally responsible person at the address. Just make sure the server fills out the proof of service form and you get a copy of it, certified mail if no luck with the previous-if you do certified also do regular mail.
