Dog noise - Landlord Forum thread 341168

Dog noise by Anonymous (NJ) on November 27, 2015 @20:37

I have 5 units in NJ. We have 1 T with dog since 2 years. Prior, 2 other Tenants lived in unit next to it. We never had any complaint for dog noise. Now new T complains for it. T with dog says my dog is calm. No other T has any complaint but they may be little away but not much. We do not live there but when ever we go there, we have found dog calm. New T was under multiple violations in 1st week but they were corrected after written notice. Now she has been friend with some but in her first week, new T complained for all other tenants. What are my options?

the dog is probably barking because it does not know the newer tenant. you should notify the dog owner about the possibility of the dog barking when no one is there with the dog. no one should put up with a barking dog and that includes the landlord.

You need to get rid of the dog and tenant, they are the reason your prior 2 tenants moved. The same thing will happen with your newest tenant. Wake up, the tenant and dog has to go now. Find some reason to evict them asap.
