Worst experience of my life!! A.L.E. provided housing for my daughter and me after a fire destroyed our home. The furniture they brought in had bedbugs and they handled it poorly causing the bedbugs to spread to the other tenant's living area as well. They didn't follow the recommendations of the pest control company to remove the headboard of the bed because this one could not be decontaminated, and when we returned after 10 days away there were nymphs all over the bed. We had to move into a motel while the process was started over again. There were many calls to ALE and I can only say that during a time when we really needed them to step up, they did the opposite by working against a solution to the problem. Here's what didn't work for us:
They blamed us for bringing the bedbugs in even though the pest control company said that rental furniture is the #1 cause of bedbug spread. They wanted us to stay in the house and sleep in the contaminated beds to lure the bedbugs out at night so they would cross over the sprayed areas. Read that sentence again....I am not kidding you!! Weeks after the pest control company told them to remove the headboard, they finally came and took it to the curb. I made them put a note on it so some unsuspecting person didn't take it and contaminate their home. When they came to remove the furniture at our insistence, they brought a rental truck instead of their own. And as a final parting shot, the day before we were moving out of town they were supposed to pick up every item they had brought to us and they only took the large furniture items. That's right, without any notice and only learning from the men who were picking up the furniture, they left every single household item in the house. Thankfully we have a strong support system that stepped up and helped us to problem solve disposing of all of the kitchen ware, bathroom items, linens, vacuum, brooms etc. This really was a burden and such a low blow to my daughter and me because we were already so beaten down. I still cannot believe the level they descended to in this entire affair. Our landlord was such a wonderful person and we turned the house back to them empty and clean, but not without suffering from the intentional acts of A.L.E. Solutions. We dealt with many fine individuals at A.L.E. but the organization itself is corrupt and their claim to "care" is only window dressing. If you deal with anyone below the surface employees who are very sweet and kind, be prepared to deal with the devil. Caveat emptor....Buyer Beware!!
