I also have an eviction and I am trying to rent now. My situation is different. I cosigned for my friend (sister n law) when I was 18 not really knowing what I was doing. I consigned before I even spoke with anyone about it. She told me she moved out of her apartment a month early and that the apartments let her. This was 3 years ago. I checked my credit score and seen that I owe $2.567.00 because of her and I applied for an apartment that I had been on a waiting list for a long time and was denied and wasn't sure why. So I called the apartments my sister n law used to live in and sure enough it was an eviction. Now I am stuck and not sure what to do. This is the only thing on my record. I've never had anything else in my name or no other debt. I am 21 with 2 kids and I have been working since I was 16. I cannot find anyone to accept me. What can I do??? Someone please help me.
