I feel your pain.

A pound of feathers weighs the same as a pound of lead.

You can file a complaint for a stolen tv or dishwasher etc....yet the value of the little things stolen are worth far more than a large appliance and the police will not take a report.
I've had cleaning supplies, silverware, dishes, bed comforters all stolen. The tenant walked right past the police officer with my belongings and the police would not stop her and threatened me with mischief if I interfered.
I asked the police "How do you want me to handle her stealing my property right in front of you" Their response? "Bite the bullet. You dont have a written lease"

Landlords loose even when your trying to help someone down on their luck.
Somethings is wrong with our laws when a law abiding disabled senior is taken advantage of not just by the tenant but by the police who are supposed to protect them
