As landlords in CO we strictly prohibit growing, smoking, selling, etc. of any illegal substances, including, but not limited to marijuana. We have a no business clause in the lease as well. Some people are under the impression that because MJ is legal here its a free for all. Not the case. There are regulations, (within CO and the county in which property is located) and, as I've pointed out to more than one potential tenant, it's still against federal law. And, due to personal reasons, one of which is job related, we DO NOT want nor permit any such activity on our property. Sorry, but no tenant is worth the risk, it's easier to say NO than deal with the consequences.
