I am considering purchasing a Coin Operated Washer & Dryer to be used by myself and to be shared with a tenant. Can anyone recommend a reliable brand and a good retailer to purchase the units from so I can insure that the appliances can be serviced for repair without issue?

I would suggest to go to some bigger complexes in your area to see what brand they have, and then research who sell's and services them.

GE makes a line called hydrowave. The first generation were crap. Then newer ones are much better. I also have some Maytags. Quiet, and so far, problem free. As a general rule, problems with the machines have been people failing to read. ad one lady insist 3 dryers were defective. I asked to watch her do a load. She loaded, fed the payment, the and pushed hot. "See, it doesn't work!" That's when I pointed to the push to start button. "Oh, that was an expensive lesson" At least she kept her sense of humor.....
