This is a ridiculous accusation that if someone complains too much then they must be a low life non rent payer. Give me a break. You landlords need to switch places with your tenants. A rental unit is ONLY as good as the neighbor next door. Nowadays, unless a tenant is paying in the $1,000 plus range per month range to live in the unit, the low life neighbors that move in next door to our decent renters ruin it for everyone. Funny how someone on here said they checked to see who was smoking down stairs and everyone down stairs denied it. Of course those rule breaking idiots downstairs are going to lie about it. It's a non smoking building, they're not going to risk you catching them and getting evicted. That poor tenant was smelling smoke, was really bothered by it, and yet all of your answers towards that tenant, the person who allows you a job by the way, were totally negative. As an experienced landlord, I have found the tenant who does the most complaining is usually telling the truth. I give the bad/ rule breaking tenants (2) chances to correct the issue even if they totally deny it's them. If I get a 3rd complaint about smoke, weed, noise, I simply evict them. These low lives who ruin the renting experience for my good tenants deserve to be kicked out. I hate liars and nothing makes me happier than evicting them.
