The funny thing is that a certain poster (who I will not name) who was banned and is highly respected by so many of you
IS.... wait for it....
either a man or a woman
because this person over the years has posted so many great informative postings and many not so great and bullying postings under different names male and female.
The great postings with lots of pasted info was always by the highly respected personality, while many of his/her own other postings were either attacking other posters or praising his/her good postings.
Very entertaining, when deciding whether to ban someone and we see all thepostings from the same IP address.

I always was amazed how so many thought because that individual could google and then copy & paste that they were an expert in every state. Unfortunately, as anyone who works and lives in the real world knows, laws are subject to interpretation and copying something from a statute is not necessarily going to be how different jurisdictions operate.

OK, so behind the scenes MrDan was causing problems. Absolutely deserved to be banned, then. Steve, there are constant daily posts from someone now that are basically tirades full of capitalized words, made-up percentages, lectures, and condescension. I know that the views of us lowly Anon posters don't mean much, but I'm sure you can see the variety of different IP addresses who voice their concerns over G's posts. Why is nothing done?

Oh, I get it. That's like blaming it on the Russians? Truly, you let G go too far with his attacks against that "certain poster" that it was obvious he fought back in someway. As now, you place the blame on someone who cannot defend themselves, when it's you who failed to stop it before it got to the point of people being banned.

Steve: Don't you think it's about time you update the forum backend? Clearly, without legit login and password, anyone can just post what ever they want in here. This issue of post trolling or non-sensical remarks and posts was also prevalent when I first found the site as it was today. Searching for topic is a pain as well. You said you were looking to upgrade the forums then. That was several years ago though. Just my 2 cents.

The whole point is to keep it open and free for a flexible exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge. If people would just ignore and move on from the posters that say something inappropriate or if they would just respond and give good advice as a response, the issue would be muted. Honestly, it's everyone's quick, rude responses that make the forum get all tossed about. Just ignore it and try to help the poster, leave the rest of the drama behind.
