Your first mistake was dealing with family. I think because the person who died paid 12,000 dollars. The court will have to review the agreement to see what, if any, rights the kids have. Perhaps they will not be able to come up with the extra money to fulfill the agreement of 30,000.00 dollars. Or the judge may decide you have to return the 12,000 dollars to get you property back.
I would get a lawyer if I were in your shoes. And be prepared to fork over some money to make this go away. The lawyer representing the estate will be digging deep to get every dime out of you. The kid in the property, if he wins the property, will end up selling it to pay off the lawyer fees.
Typical low life type people. YOU NEED A LAWYER!
