Florida only requires 15 days notice prior to the end of the month to end a month-to-month lease. Just indicate what date the tenancy will end on the notice.

30 days is certainly better as it gives the tenant a more reasonable mount of time to find a new place. However, you may want to wait a day or two after rent day to send the notice just in case she might be one of those 'use the security deposit for the last month's rent' people.
