ah, but when it's your child, it's not "arbitrary". It's their New Year's gift from you, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, etc. It's to reimburse for the groceries they got you while at the store. It's "because I love you". I'm their mother ... that is not the same as an arms length transaction. My state gives tax breaks if I want to sell to my kids ... even my siblings and cousins ... because they are my family ...

I'd bet a month's rent that there is NO court in the land that would be able to determine a parent renting a similar place to their child cheaper than to a complete stranger is discriminatory.
