I live in Texas and the Rental is in Illinois. I was very thrifty with airfare, car and accomodations at family. Round Trip airfare $91, Car for a day $40, Gas $38. I am between jobs myself so decided to do it myself as usual. I prefer to inspect myself and get it very nice for rerenting. I can hire in future but it is a cost of a months rent which is $1590. In the future, I have a move out early charge clause instead. Here's the rerent clause in short. I suppose I didn't say travel expenses specifically.

25. DEFAULT ..large paragraph removed here.... Tenant shall be responsible for Owner's cost of re-renting. Owner's cost shall include the cost of repairs, decorations, broker's fees, attorney's fees, advertising and preparation for renting.
