Broken Lease

My T broke the lease and left. I was able to find another T, but it took 29 days until new T moves in. I will send a notice of claim against the deposit to T for 28days to re-rent. Do I need to show proof that new T won't move in until 29 days later? give part of the new T's lease showing the move in date, and blur out new T's name?

You dont have to provide the proof unless you end up in court. Just state that you withheld 28/29 days rent due to them breaking lease. You have to mitigate your damages, which you did. Judges would prob give up to 90 days if you can prove you were actively looking for a new tenant that long.
