Are Rentals an Essential Service for Lockdown? - Landlord Forum thread 360357

Are Rentals an Essential Service for Lockdown? by Daniel (CA) on March 25, 2020 @15:11

can I show an apartment and rent out a vacant unit during shut down?
I am assuming Housing is an essential service.

Should I require 3 to 6 month prepay of rent since there is a chance that new tenants could use the situation to stay for free for a few months?

READ the proclamation. If it is not specifically covered then it falls in the "social distancing" requirements.

Lockdown DOES NOT EQUAL you must stay in your house and never leave.
