Hi everyone. Here in Florida where the state has ceased all writ for evictions for unknown time frame. My chest hurts just writing that. So today we waited to do our rental accounting for April. Shocking tenants we thought would not have issue and are still work have been brainwashed into believing they don’t owe rent and can’t suffer eviction credit reporting or have the need to back pay those months. To make it worse we pay electric water trash sewer for all these units. We have 30 and we have 8 tenants not paying a dime at all. Just like they are ducking calls and emails with no reply. It’s the weirdest part of landlord situations I’ve ever been in. So we filed one payment eviction today as the kids in the unit will never catch up and don’t plan on it. They even moved in 2 friends so they Could help each other survive and share funds and therefore 2 extra people in a 1 bed 1 bath with utilities paid too by us. How much more can we get screwed?

Then I have a bank acct and credit card for business but I don’t have existing loan so I don’t qualify for the CARES loans they are discussing and finally my husband and I have our own rental businesses so we are the only paid employee although self employed sole proprietor. So I’m told I again don’t qualify for the PPP plan. This is like my worst nightmare. I want to scream! And disconnect utilities and make their life hell but I know that’s my inner child at work. I don’t want to lose my own mind and funds but what can bI done here? See the email below to see my issues. These punks have lost their minds.

To landlord :
Hello.
Since you filed for eviction we will have to allocate our funds towards a new place to stay in. We cannot sign the promissory note as we do not want to bind ourselves to a payment we know we cannot make, Christian just got a job and his stimulus check is on the way. It’s unfortunate that we had to be evicted as we had just resorted our issues and were on the cusp of informing you. I’m sorry that business had to transpire this way but I think it’s best for you as it is for us. We will be here till they kick us out now. Well done Tenants in 104-6

Can you believe the balls? Help me cope please. Alina

Alina, here is PA we are allowed to evict when the courts reopen. Today is the 21st of April and I still have not received April's rent. My tenant is trying to become my friend by sending me friendly text message. I've replied keeping my tone firm, professional, and business like. She obviously has no intentions of paying April's rent since in 10 days May's rent is due. I, like you, pay utilities. Therefore I am at a loss as well. Your tenants are not so smart is letting you know that they do have funds but are allocating them towards a new place. I'd like to see the judge's face when he reads that. I am right there with you and have made up my mind that I'm not going to lose sleep over this situation. I'll start my eviction notice when I can and put the unit back on the market. There are good tenants out there, they just take longer to find. I've learned a long time ago that it is better to have an empty unit than a bad tenant. Good luck and stay healthy.
