I find that the smooth top gets worn very easily, even with best of care.
The glass can break on it also. If they are super responsible then I would consider it as it is preferred.

It wears poorly. Good luck. Lowe’s is having 40% off appliance sale.

For a rental unit. Replacing old GE products. Anyone know what GE store authorization code is? Anyone have experience buying at GE and/or Samsung directly? Anyone buy appliances at Costco? Will I have additional costs for changing from GE to Samsung? Am looking at either Samsung or GE for gas stove. Am looking at GE or Whirlpool for Microwave. Will I have an issue matching stainless steel if I go with 2 different companies. Don't want bottom of the line but don't want top either. Will need to have haul away and installation. Am looking at Samsung 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Gas Range with Self-Cleaning and Fan Convection Oven in Stainless Steel Model #NX58H5600SS or GE 30 Inch Free-Standing Gas Range JGB700SEJSS GE 1.9 cu. ft. Microwave JVM7195SKSS GE Profile 2.1 cu. ft. Over the Range Microwave in Stainless Steel with Sensor Cooking Model #PVM9005SJSS May have to rule out Whirlpool microwave as can't find store that will install.
