Vacate due to exterminator tenting - Landlord Forum thread 361707

Vacate due to exterminator tenting by Thomas on January 3, 2022 @13:36

Hi, I can't find in our leases a clause to allow us to require vacating tenant's premises for 3 days to allow a tenting to spray for wood termites. We'd be glad to compensate them the rent for days of non use but the thought of hotels here in SW Florida at top of season are scary financially. We could give 30 days notice for move out but I'd rather find a more equitable solution.

Well have you talked to your tenants?
Your request seems reasonable, but I think you just have to pay for their hotel stay.

Why kick out a good tenant over a couple hundred bucks?

look at vrbo or such places for lower than hotel rates.

Just do your spray/treatment after they leave.
