I can relate to this. I let things go until the city stepped in. It has cost me a fortune so far. I'm sick to death of cleaning after someone's mistake . Now, it states in the lease that if the "landlord should have to call in someone to mow the lawn that the tenant shall be billed for it".
Another thing that I find irritating is how the landlord is now responsible for unpaid water bills. The tenant pays a water deposit before they can even get the water turned on, so why doesn't the water dept., use that for the final bill?
