Is a sheriff required to evict a tenant in GA? - Landlord Forum thread 362562

Is a sheriff required to evict a tenant in GA? by ddobson001 on September 26, 2023 @13:45

I have a writ of possession for my tenant however I am told I must have a sheriff present for the eviction. The sheriff's first availability is not until Jan 4 2024. I looked on online and did not find anything on a sheriff being required but also could not find anything saying they have to be there as well.
