NOTICE PERIOD TO CURE DEFAULT ON LEASE: -
3 days for substantial lease violation
3 days notice to quit for non-payment (LPA Lease Clause # 25)
LATE CHARGES: Reasonable as agreed in Lease Rental Agreement. - (LPA Lease Clause # 3)
SECURITY DEPOSIT: No restriction on amount - (LPA Lease Clause # 21)
SECURITY DEPOSIT RETURN TIME: If no deductions 10 days. With deductions 30 days
Montana landlords should be informed that the state requires that to make deductions from security deposit enforceable with an explanation of deductions
Property Condition Report and a list of damage and cleaning costs (Settlement Charges Guide) must be provided at the beginning of the tenancy.
Landlord must indicate in writing if the rental unit has ever been rented before
