In my opinion, it's not the dogs that are the problem, it's the people who own them.

I know I did not just ready a list of 40 "aggressive" breeds and I actually laughed out loud when I read Golden Retrievers! They are universally considered one of the most friendly, loving, playful dogs in existence and are at the top of the POSITIVE list regarding temperment. My Lord...what is allowed out there? Gerbils and Poodles?

No, gerbils are on the "aggressive rodent" list. Gotta be a poodle and chihuahua.
Which is funny, because last time I checked, chihuahua's had the number one attack rate and dachshunds had the number one bite rate. You guys need to check yourselves before you wreck yourselves. Most of these breeds are owner-trained to be aggressive, but are the sweetest dogs EVER to everybody the owner doesn't tell them to attack. Jesus Christ almighty, people. Get a hold of yourselves.

I agree, it is the owner. I have a boxer/lab/smooth terrier mix and she gets mistaken for a pit bull ALL THE TIME. It makes me angry when people just assume she's aggressive before they even meet her. She loves to play and she loves people. She's super curious and super sweet. Just because she has boxer in her doesn't mean she's aggressive. Likewise, just because you think she might have bull terrier in her, which she doesn't, doesn't mean she's aggressive, either. I'd say get to know the dog before you discriminate. Ask what the parents of the dog were. Meiling's parents were boxer/lab and boxer/smooth terrier, which comes out looking like what people would call a "pit bull."
