What can I do if my landlord evicted me because he wanted to occupy the apt, and after 4 months he rented the same apt. to a new tenant. Has he broken the law?

Did he evict you through the courts? Or did he lock you out? Unless he perjured himself during the eviction hearing(assuming he legally evicted you) there is nothing you can do.

No, the property is his to do what he wishes with it. He did not break any law.

It is very common for a landlord to lie to a tenant just to get him to move out.
Some people would rather lie than just tell someone that they don't like them or just want them gone.

Why in the world would your landlord have wanted you to leave?

Maybe his plans to move in changed at the last minute and had to get a new renter?

It is not complicated. The landlord wanted to sell for four months. Now he wants to rent again. As a tenant, you missed the perfect chance to buy. Why didn't you buy the house. Was it because you had not credit and a poor payment history?

If you signed a lease then your landlord has no right to remove you from the premises just because he wanted to occupy the apartment. If he evicted you through the courts, and judgment passed in favor of the landlord then there is nothing you can do. If it was a month to month lease (whether verbal or written), he would just have to notify you within 30 days for you to move.
