I had this exact same thing happen to me and I had to go through the formal eviction process to be able to remove her stuff from the apartment. Then I had to store her stuff for 3 months.

My tenant is in jail - no rent has been paid. He has a lot of things in his apartment. I am 74 and can not move his stuff to a storage place. What can I do with his things? How long do I need to give him, before I can clean the apartment out, since he is in jail. I have no idea how long he will need to be there. SF
