How did she sell a house when she has a judgment against her? you should have gotten paid at closing.

Only if poster put a lien on her property. If that was the case, the home would not have cleared title. Getting a judgement is only the first step in collecting.

in Pennsylvania, a judgment creates a lien or cloud on the title to the property ...no further step is required to "perfect" the lien ...just get your judgment and it shows up

The landlord is im NJ, the ex-tenant is in NC. The landlord has to pay a fee and get the state of NC to regconize the NJ judgement. Don't really know if the landlord has a judgement or not?

I know. The state of Georgia screwed up. When I called about it they said that's why you should have had an attorney. So now she is N.C.
