Condo Assessment of $2000

Does a landlord typically roll the fees onto the tenant when the condo association imposes a $2000 assessment? ($500 for 4 months) I am already planning on increasing the rent by 5% for 2024 to account for higher property taxes and assoc dues. The rent is 1425/mo (new rent will be $1496 - still a fair rent for the market) If I add the assessment it will make the rent on the high side of the market. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That depends on if the tenant did something that caused the assessment to go up. If they did, then, yes, you can charge them. But remember, if they can't afford the $2,000 temporary increase, or your 5% increase, they will probably move out.
