Lease clause for pests (FL) - Landlord Forum thread 362692

Lease clause for pests (FL) by Thomas on January 13, 2024 @09:38

Hello, are there any examples of a lease clause where the tenant is responsible for the bugs, etc. inside? In FL we get sugar ants and other critters esp. when food is left out. We'd like the tenants to handle their own cleanup. Thank you

How about paragraph 13 from the LPA lease?
Tenant agrees to be responsible for the extermination of any insect or wildlife pest infestation during or as a result of the tenant's occupancy.
Tenant shall be responsible to immediately remedy any such infestations as soon as any pest problem is observed.
