PA increasing rent due to tax increase - Landlord Forum thread 362743

PA increasing rent due to tax increase by scott on March 8, 2024 @09:04

I live in PA the rent i charge is below comparable rents. I have been raising it modestly and steady to try to bring it inline with comparable rents.

The township passed a signifcat rate increase almost 45%

Normally the rent increase is small. Cant i make a big rent increase like 150 -200. Would this be good idea?

what does your lease provide for.
is your tenant m2m or in lease.
In practice, huge rent increases tend to cause tenants to move
if your unit is still on th3e low end of comps, eveN after the rent increase, your tenants might stay.

is your tax increase a result of across the board increases or did the the authorities finally just catch up with you.
