Seems to me it is more likely that your furniture is a host vs the walls. Did you read what I wrote above? Do you know what type of termites that were found INSIDE your place? You should since you supposedly saw the report but why would YOU see the report when it should be going to your LL? What is your question? You said you moved out already? Obviously you are not going to be happy here...I would suggest you move where you will be happier. If you call a building inspector you may be forced to move anyway. The swarming is quite normal, they are harmless to humans, etc. I've never read about any species of termite laying eggs UP IN EXPOSED BEDDING however?? At any rate...focusing on carpet is NOT the right thing to do right now. You may need to toss your furniture even if infested and guess what...the termites might have been in there all along! Tenting is extremely expensive and as I explained only kills the termites in there right then. They come back as soon as you do. Seems he has no other complaints of termites from other tenants so I have to wonder about your bedroom? Eggs often survive tenting since they are not as oxygen dependent. The chemical used to tent replaces oxygen with the fumigant. Put your concern in writing to the landlord (how did YOU see the termite report when it should go to the LL???). But asking for new carpet is NOT the priority here. How long have you lived there? Fixed lease or MTM? Rent control?
