"can i as a landlord amend the lease to remove a tenants spouse for assault reasons"

He never actually said the wife was the one assaulted.

Then somehow people here moved to the conclusion that wife asked the landlord that husband be removed from the unit. We have no details of what actually happened here. It would be good if OP returned to fill in the blanks.

    No, only you posted anything stating husband or wife. You where the only one who reached that conclusion, so don't try to blame others for your inept response to the post.

      We don't know that the female tenant informed anyone of anything. Maybe a neighbor informed the LL that a police call was made to the unit.

      Maybe the husband assaulted someone else (coworker, random person), arrested, and LL found out about it and wants him gone but will let wife stay. We don't know. Not enough information given.
