They couldn't pay a security deposit. So instead of coming up with a security deposit they painted the inside of the house. We paid for the paint and they did the painting. No money was ever exchanged for a security deposit. They were evicted for numerous reasons. They are still living in the house. They claimed that them painting was a security deposit. They say that by painting the inside of the house that that equals the same as one months rent. They wanted to use that "security deposit" as their last months rent.

How are they still in the house if you evicted them? My definition of eviction is the sheriff will knock on the door, and arrest anyone who refuse to get out. I change the locks at that time. Of course there is a court date and a judge will give an order for the sheriff to do this removal. Any deposit the T would have been brought up at this court setting. If they come back they could be arrested if you call the cops. Breaking and entering.

They were given a 60 day notice. The 60 days are not up yet. They wanted to use the supposed "deposit" as the last months rent. I should have stated they were given an eviction notice and that the 60 days were not up yet.
