We have a tenant we like who is in the house next door to ours. Unfortunately, after moving in to our place she started dating this guy who is bad news. He moved in with her and we have a lot of issues with him, including that he stole an object from our yard!

I'm not sure what to do-- I think if we kick him out, it might make things worse, since presumably he'll often be at our property visiting her.

Any thoughts?

More info needed------- length of lease? ( M2M, 6 mo., 1 year ) and when is it up? Can you PROVE something was stolen from you by this person ? If you can, did you call the police ? Can you PROVE the person is living there every day and night ? Depending on the "issues" you are having with the boyfriend, you can either "live with the issues", or at the end of her lease, you can either up the rent by a large amount, and put them both on the lease, or you can terminate the lease altogether, and make them both move out.

Consider the possibility that they will stay together and guess who you will be dealing with! I wouldn't want to renew if he is still in the picture at renewal time!!!
