I evicted the tenant, a week later she asked me to meet her open the mail box and give her her mail, I am not in the city and I said when I come back I can put it back for the postman to forward because she said she had forward her mail but she is sure it is some mail their. or she could give me her new address and I would send it , a week later still "I am not there so she start some texts saying I went to the post office and they said you have to give me my mail" I never said I would not give her her mail, but I think it is has to be at my convenience not hers.
later yesterday she asked me" I can I go inside the house and get the mail key I left it in the counter and I still have a key of the house" this woman really doesn't have a clue she was evicted? anyway I said she can't lock had been change I will see next week how to send it to her.
how does really work with the mail? I know I have to give it to her but what way can be done without me having to see her?????, obviously she doesn't want to give me her new address.
besides she left the house in terrible condition she took pans belong to the new stove she had can I ask her to bring that back?
sometimes I feel to say I give you the mail when I see you in court! I will take her to court or put in a collection agency for the damages and the month she didn't pay

it is the responsibility of the tenant to have mailed forwarded
when you are showing the house for future rental you can write on the envelope "no suck addressee" put in post and forget about it
sometimes I still get mail from evicted tenant after three years. I've done the same as above and the post still delivers it
then I throw it in the garbage
it is not my responsibility to locate the addressee

If the postman sees the mail remains in the box and he has a forwarding order, he'll collect the mail from the box and forward it. If tenant has not put in a forwarding order and mail is delivered to the box or remains in the box, I mark it "NOT AT THIS ADDRESS -- RETURN TO SENDER" and put it in a drop box. That's it. I don't meet evicted tenants to recover their mail; tough luck for them, they should have been moving and forwarding their mail instead of sitting on their butt waiting for the Sheriff to set them out after the eviction order.

You have no obligation to meet with this tenant... Ever.

She was evicted. If she returns to the property it is criminal tresspassing.

Tell her to text her new address to you and when you get back over there you will stuff it into an envelop to mail to her. Tell her it is the only way you choose to deal with this. You will not meet her. Anywhere. Anytime

Maybe you will get an address out of her. Maybe if she thinks it is the only way.

I never get involved with tenants mail. Tenant takes a signed lease to local post office to prove residence. Post office will rekey box for tenant. Tenant can never say I tamper with or withheld their mail. One less worry for me.

Mark the envelope "return to sender, person not at this address", and send it back to the post office. I get mail from people that have not lived at the address for years.
You as the landlord have the right to clean out the mailbox, but the mail should be sent back.
Clue her in, she is not to be using the mailbox, on the property or anywhere near the house, she has been evicted. If she is so worried about the mail, she can contact the business that sent her the correspondence.
